Anything But Easy - Susie Tate

Soooo….a laugh out loud book for sure but not one of my favourite Susie Tate books. This book focuses on Kira, a sexual health doctor who let’s face it, is a downright nut case and Barclay, a politician who will be running for Prime Minister any minute.
Opposites really do attract in this book, but of course nothing quite comes easy as they try to navigate a relationship with extremely different personalities and high profile political stakes.
You could not get two more extreme characters coming together and whilst it is a fun read, especially Kira’s funny dialogue and outlandish behaviour I just found the exaggeration of both of their characters a little irritating to me. However the last 1/3 of the book really gripped me with the drama and difficult subject it touched upon. Once again Susie excels in this area of her writing.
3.5/5 for me
