This was my first Susie Tate book and an enjoyable one at that. Daydreamer is a brothers best friend trope that follows daydreamer Lucy coming to work for Felix in London who she happens to have been in love with her entire life. Unfortunately Lucy is the worst PA imaginable and Felix has become a powerful, ruthless and somewhat grumpy billionaire.
I enjoyed the character’s interactions in this book, and how the relationship between the two characters really built slowly. I liked their chemistry and the way Felix proved himself to Lucy at the end was very sweet.
I do have 2 gripes with this book though - 1. I got a little weary about so much of the book covering Lucy’s Raynaud’s condition - could have done with a little less of that. 2. I didn’t really warm to Felix’s character for most of this book, he was very harsh with Lucy and I felt he put her in an uncomfortable position at times such as taking her to the party knowing she wouldn’t like it.
I really liked reading about the secondary characters in this book, in particular Vicky so I have put Outlier, the 3rd book in the series on the wish list for when it comes out.
3.5/5 for me
