This is the 2nd book in the Forbidden Love series from L J Shen which follows Rhyland Coltridge, a hedonistic playboy with a reputation for avoiding commitment. Dylan Casablancas, his best friend's baby sister and a single mother, is a woman he knows he should stay away from.

However, when circumstances force them into a fake engagement to secure a business deal and protect Dylan from her ex, the lines between their staged relationship and real emotions begin to blur. What starts as a strategic move becomes a journey of unexpected feelings and challenges.

We were introduced to Rhyland and Dylan briefly in the first book in the series, and I was really looking forward to this book and it did not disappoint. It had the right amount of drama and spice which L J Shen writes so well.

My favourite part of this book was the dialogue between the two main characters which had me going through all the emotions, which is one of the best I have read in a long time. I love the Enemies to Lovers trope and this is must read in my opinion.
